I can confidently say working with Jeff Lichtenberger has been one of the best decisions we've made when it comes to our taxes. When I started looking for a new tax prep company, I called, and the lady I spoke with really seemed to know about rental properties. That's why I chose Total. I also liked the long-time local business aspect. When I called to tell them I wanted to work with them, they assigned Jeff to prep my return (2024). He initially communicated well, but then I heard nothing after everything was submitted in mid- to late-March (of 2025, for the 2024 return). I called April 14th or 15th (partly my bad, for being so late), to see if the return had been completed - nope. So we had to file an "11th hour" extension. Not happy. Very stressful. But because I believe in 2nd chances, and the overall extremely positive reviews of the company, (my case could have just fallen through the cracks), I decided to go with them one more time (2025 return). This year, I was ready to submit in early March. Jeff emailed to confirm I turned in everything. I said yes, minus 2 documents that I had dollar amounts for, which were submitted when I got the. Then once again, I heard nothing. I emailed on March 17th & 23rd, no reply either time. I called the next week, and was told the return had been started. I called again the next week: same. I called a-gain, and they caught Jeff's assistant or someone, who said it was "almost done." In the end, I got the return while I was away on a trip - which I them about, and why I had been asking about it for so long. I reviewed it within a day or so, sent it back for a correction, and by the time I got the updated return, we were once again submitting on April 15th... Oh, I finally got responses from Jeff in these last days, AND when the payment was due. So... no, I will not be back. My return is not complicated, and shouldn't be a time consuming project. So, very disappointed - I expected more b/c of the sheer number of 5-star ratings.

I had such a great experience getting my taxes done by Sheridan Bayr! I’m a college student, so taxes can feel super confusing, but this was honestly so easy—even for someone like me. The whole process was quick, stress-free, and really well explained. Sheridan was professional, organized, and made everything simple to understand. Everything was done efficiently and perfectly. Walked in and was able to get our taxes completed within 30 mins! Everyone was extremely friendly and answered all our questions! My husband and I have gone here now for a couple years and will continue to return!!!
