I had an extremely disappointing experience with Lucier CPA and Lori Fleming due to misleading billing practices, lack of transparency, and poor communication. I was initially given an estimate for services, including catch-up bookkeeping on multiple accounts,, setting up my S-Corp, and transferring my LLC from another state. I paid this at the beginning of our work together. I also was in an agreement for weekly payments that would cover taxes filing, ongoing bookkeeping, and payroll. However, I was later surprised with an invoice that was 2 times what I had already paid for the estimate without prior approval or any clear breakdown of charges. Despite multiple requests, I was never provided a fee schedule explaining their rates for bookkeeping, admin tasks, or communication. When I questioned the unexpected charges, they claimed the fees had been discussed but failed to provide any written documentation to support this. The breakdown I received only had codes with no descriptions, making it impossible to verify what I was being charged for. Additionally, they applied a 1% monthly interest fee that was never disclosed in my signed agreement. The most concerning issue was that they informed me that they set up an unauthorized charge to withdraw funds weekly directly from my bank account without my consent to pay the erroneous invoice. I disputed the charge, and thankfully, the amount was dropped. I have now terminated my contract with them. When I raised concerns about their billing and lack of transparency, I was met with dismissive and evasive responses. They refused to provide clear explanations or accountability, and follow-up requests were ignored. If you value honest pricing, clear communication, and ethical business practices, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for accounting services.

He is an author and has his books in the office which are extremely helpful. There are not that many people you will find that are as passionate about helping others with their businesses as they are at Lucier CPA.
