Laura Barwick and her team are professional and extremely knowledgeable. We have utilized their business for our personal and business taxes, estate opening and closings, estate planning and the sale of a business. They are more than just a tax firm. I highly recommend them for all your accounting needs and much more.

I have no choice but to write this bad review regarding this CPA firm. Hopefully, they will have better transparency for future clients. We picked this firm based on reviews and being close to where we live. Our taxes are straightforward. W2, part time self employment and (2) amended taxes from last year. I usually prepare my taxes but went to a cpa for future tax preparation. I spoke to administrator Nancy months before and was quoted a price. After delivering our taxes in the middle of January, they weren't sent until March. The price was not the quoted price, and there was no transparency when I called for an update. I gave them physical copies of all receipts and expense, which they made copies of electronically and charged me for it. We ask why Laura states she feels bad but has to pay her employees. I put my Excel expense report on a USB drive that had all of my expenses in categories and calculated each category to make it easier for the CPA firm to determine cost and reference physical receipt copies. When we went to pick up our taxes, there were certain things not completed, and we had to ask. The experience was not what we expected. We will not use that CPA firm again. There was a lack of transparency and high cost, and it felt like we were not important enough. I also gave them a USB drive that had previous years' taxes that calculated each category, and they didn't even use it until we came in to pick up our taxes. They said you need to look at your previous tax years to see if you missed anything. They never even looked at my expense report or previous tax years on the USB drive. We are still waiting on our addendum return, which takes up to a year. Update 10/14/2024 Finally, we received our amended return. I will never use this firm again, She charged me over 3 times her initial quote for services. Even when i gave her my Excel files on a memory drive with all expenses reported and calculated. After talking with other firms on my experience, they all said I was overcharged.

Horrible communication. When we first came to Barwick, my husband and I were both working W2 jobs. However when he started his own company, Barwick’s office seemed to disappear whenever we had questions. Even if we contacted them multiple times it would take weeks if not months to get a response. They also caused us to miss important quarterly deadlines telling us to check in the following quarter in regards to our business taxes. If you own your own business, look elsewhere for help.

My family has been dealing with Laura for over two decades and have received the best service. She was instrumental in planning and handling my father's estate. My father absolutely adored Laura for her straight-forward approach and tenaciousness to find the best way to meet her client's needs without using questionable methods. Laura and her staff, having been watching over my personal affairs, several family members, friends referred, and our two family partnerships. The entire office is committed to doing their absolute best for their clients, and I can honestly say I rarely have to worry about accounting issues because I have a qualified, honest, and conscientious staff of professionals ready to serve!

We found Laura to be very professional and knowledgeable. Her fees were a 'bargain' compared to other firms we've been with. Definitely recommend them.
