John and his secretary were happy to schedule a consultation with me so they could take my consultation fee. I should have known better and walked out the door when they forgot I even had an appointment. They did absolutely nothing to help me. He said he would reach out to the IRS on my behalf to help resolve a tax situation and didn't do a single thing. His secretary had the audacity to email me and ask if I wanted them to process my taxes. These are just money grubbing CPAs with zero customer service or follow through.

Having recently moved to North Carolina from New Jersey, my husband and I met with Mr. Nichols in summer of 2023 for a consultation regarding various tax related issues and to engage him as our accountant going forward. During that initial meeting we had several questions that Mr. Nichols agreed to research on our behalf which he did quickly and thoroughly. Earlier this year we then worked with Mr. Nichols and his team on the preparation of our 2023 Federal, North Carolina, and New Jersey tax returns. The initial information that Mr. Nichols provided to us in order begin the tax return process was prompt, thorough, and more comprehensive than anything we ever received from our accountants in New Jersey. He and his team than worked with us to get our returns, which were extensive, completed in time to file prior to our leaving for vacation. The final package provided for our records was again more thorough and comprehensive than we've ever received from previous accountants. His team member, Barbara, worked with us throughout the process to answer our questions, get us information we needed, and in general help us through the process as this year we had elements associated with our returns that we've not had in prior years. All in all, this is one of the most professional accounting organizations we've had the pleasure of working with and we couldn't be happier that we selected John E Nichols PLLC as our accountants here in North Carolina.

I'm puzzled by all the positive reviews, as my experience with John was far from impressive. There are numerous issues I could detail, but instead, I urge anyone considering his services to conduct thorough research first.

John Nichols has been my CPA for a few years now handling both my business and personal tax needs. I could not be more pleased. John and his staff are always prompt in their response to my inquires and willing to go the extra mile. They are courteous, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced for the excellent service they provide.
