I Definitely do not recommend Anchor Tax relief for your IRS issues. If there was an option for zero stars I would leave it. Save your money and go elsewhere. If you have an accountant, they can give you the same answers that Jim will give you, either for free, a nominal charge, or as part of your retainer. I knew the solution he offered me was one of my options, I researched that myself and concluded that that would be my last option. But I felt we had a good case against the IRS. I did not need him to tell me his solution and waste $1750 in the process. I expected him to fight my cause with the IRS which I explained to him in the beginning but it looked like he just wanted to take the easy way out and make a quick buck. Also, before I signed up with him he reached out to me multiple times trying to obtain my business and when I returned the call he answered the phone all the time but after I signed with him and sent him the $1750 he was very difficult to reach. It took several attempts to finally reach him. Generally, It would take a tax professional less then 30 minutes to look over tax documents and come up with the best course of action. $1750 is highway robbery for the little amount of time Jim actually spent on my case. Even attorney's give free advice. I don't expect free advice but perhaps a charge of $250-$400 would be acceptable to me. In conclusion, did Jim do anything illegal? The answer is no. But did he do something immoral? In my opinion, absolutely.
