a year agoI usually file my own taxes, but this year was different and I had very complicated taxes. I contacted Altman and Stauffer. Wes quickly contacted me and we set up a face to face meeting. I brought all of my paperwork and explained my situation. His professionalism and knowledge were evident. I was very pleased (and relieved) when I saw my return. Everything was done in a neat and timely fashion. They could not have done anything better, I would highly recommend Altman & Stauffer.

2 years agoI own a small, local business. I support small, local business which is exactly why I went to Altman Stauffer. I went to consult with Wes at the start of the year, explained I had new business, and he said it was simple and he had it under control. Communicating with him became harder as the tax deadline approached and then I was ghosted completely leaving me frantic to file an extension the week of the tax deadline. Running a business is extremely difficult and I am well aware of what it’s like to be overwhelmed. I wouldn’t have left this review if Wes had been truthful with me—he couldn’t handle what he had taken on. Instead I got ghosted, had to make a last minute scramble and worse, the morning after the tax deadline, he resurfaced asking for my tax documents like nothing had happened. Two small business owners I know also had last minute scrambles to file extensions as well—one had to consult an attorney the mistakes were so egregious and the other hysterical and embarrassed her taxes were late her first year open. Honesty would have gone a long way. An apology even further. It pains me to even write a negative review for another small business, but I don’t want anyone else to have this happen to them.

Filings and processes are all digital, customer service is exceptional, and they've made sound recommendations on structure and strategy. I have met with both Wes and Laurel in person, and both are exceptional in what they do. My company can have some complex returns due to the nature of our business and AltmanStauffer CPAs have been able to provide extraordinary advice. They're work is efficient and high quality.
